Each summer Mind Body Soul brings together a diverse community of dancers, teachers, choreographers, guest artists and accomplished alumni from throughout the U.S. and Canada.  Our unique approach, along with a tenacious work ethic, provides well trained dance artists ages ten to twenty four an environment to flourish.  A foundation of strong technical training based in daily ballet classes is complimented with a diverse array of dance styles and techniques.

Our ultimate goal is for each dancer to continually realize and achieve their full range of artistic potential by training the whole person; Mind: the knowledge, Body: the instrument, Soul: the passion.

The fine print:

Mind Body Soul is designed for the dancer with a minimum of three years of training who wants to push the limits and step out of the box with all the possibilities of being an artist.  Students must throw away their insecurities with unfamiliar dance styles and use this experience to build upon their artistic vocabulary.

For nearly 50 years ballet has served TGS and its alumni very well as the foundation of all dance training at the school; if you dislike ballet or do not appreciate its value to all dance forms this program may not be for you.

As a respect to all dance forms each dancer is expected to dress the part.  We would never expect you take hip hop class wearing pink tights, a one piece leotard, and your hair in a bun, because that’s not very cool; but to be cool for ballet class at TGS we do expect it for every daily ballet class.  Male dancers should wear a dance belt, tights (preferred) or black shorts and a white leotard or t-shirt for ballet class.

Even in the younger divisions this is an "intensive" dance program.  Students will receive corrections and are expected to be grateful for, and immediately apply any correction given. THIS IS NOT A "PLAY-DANCE" PROGRAM.

Any student not willing to try every class should not enroll.

Dancers must enter the classroom without a parent.  Only registered dancers are allowed in any classroom during Mind Body Soul.

Respect for fellow students, faculty, and staff, as well as our facilities, is expected at all times. Any breach of this will result in immediate dismissal from the program.

Dress Code
