The Fine Print

Mind, Body, Soul is designed for the dancer with a minimum of three years of training who wants to push the limits and step out of the box with all the possibilities of being an artist. Students must throw away their insecurities with unfamiliar dance styles and use this experience to build upon their artistic vocabulary.

For nearly 50 years, ballet has served The Gold School and its alumni very well as the foundation of all dance training at the school. If you dislike ballet or do not appreciate its value to all dance forms this program may not be for you.

As a respect to all dance forms, each dancer is expected to dress the part. Just as you might wear cool sneakers and sweats for hip-hop, we expect female dancers to wear pink tights, a one-piece leotard, and their hair in a bun for every ballet class. Male dancers should wear a dance belt, tights (preferred) or black shorts and a white leotard or t-shirt for ballet class.

Dancers must enter the classroom without a parent. Only registered dancers are allowed in any classroom during Mind Body Soul.

Respect for fellow students, faculty, and staff, as well as our facilities, is expected at all times. Any breach of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from the program.

Dress Code

Girls

Ballet will be taken in a solid one-piece black or dark colored leotard and pink tights with hair in a tight bun.

Boys

Ballet will be taken in shorts or tights w/solid white leotard or t-shirt.

Modern class must be taken barefoot.

*Dancers may change for other subjects. Dancers should bring a yoga mat.

In some cases these programs fill before the deadline. Don’t miss out—register early! Dancers and teachers will be accepted in the order their registration is received. Once a class is full it closes.

To reserve your space all dancers must be registered with tuition paid.

All tuition is due in U.S. Funds. Checks, Money Orders, MasterCard and Visa accepted.

Recent Project Moves Performances and Alumni

During the past few years the Project Moves Dance Company has had a very busy performance schedule appearing on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, performing live in N.Y.C., Boston, and at The Fire Island Dance Festival, and bringing their message of acceptance and hope to high schools across New England.
